Tantrix is ??a visual - spatial strategy game and puzzle game for 1 to 4 players. It was created in 1988 by former New Zealand backgammon champion Mike McManaway, and has been sold in more than 3 million copies of award prizes in several countries.
A complete set of Tantrix consists of 56 hexagonal pieces made of bakelite with hand-painted lines in red, green, blue and yellow. Each game piece is unique, and with all the pieces you can play several different headshots or solos. If you have more people, you can play the game Tantrix.
Mike McManaway from New Zealand invented Tantrix in 1988.
His interest in strategy games started from childbirth with the classic matador's home game at the family - and continued with chess.
Mikes memory was unfortunately not good enough for chess on a higher level, so he chose instead of playing backgammon.
In New Zealand he became a champion in backgammon! After university studies in geology and a career at IBM, he started a chain of games with games.
Mike continued playing Tantrix, and after 10 years of trials (2007) he won the Tantrix Tournement.
